OK...I know it is kinda mean...But aren't they CUTE?

So, Utah came to us complete with a ballerina costume and flannel jacket. I've resisted for a few days, but I just HAD to see them on the girls...

Playdate!

Hi all! We had a play date today with Sky's best buddy in the whole wide world (at the request of the kiddos, of course!). It was fun!

We walked to the park, then took the trail to the pond, then walked home. 3 boys and me. The idea was to wear out their energy, but wow it sure did the same to me!

Here are some pics!

Our new family member!!!

Hehe...got your attention, huh?

We are adopting another (canine) family member. Our friends can't take their dog with them when they move to Hawaii, so we are going to take her in. Her name is Utah. She is german sheraprd/hound. She is about 3 years old, same as Georgia, and has been with her current family since puppyhood- so we know her and her history well.

Utah was with us for two days and seemed to blend with the family well. She is currently spending a little more time at home, and will be coming to live with us on Tuesday!

For those of you who haven't seen Georgia, our dog, she is the one on the right. Utah is on the left.

We love the zoo!

We had a family day at the zoo today. The cougar exhibit is awesome! One of the cougars was very vocal and that was really cool (but kinda eerie) to hear. Alex loved the sheep. Prying him away from the farm area took some work! Skyler liked the black bears best. They were sleeping in plain sight, so he got a good look!

Here are some pictures from our day:

The day after the spill.

Well it looks worse today because the areas that were pink yesterday scabbed overnight and are now bright red. The good news is that there is no sign of a shiner, which we thought we'd see by now.

Alex takes a spill.

This is why babies shouldn't run downhill on concrete. Ouch. Looks like it could turn into a black eye! What a trooper though- he's running around an hour later.
